Freeport, Bahamas - Grand Bahama Island has a new conference facility as the Pelican Bay Hotel officially opened their new conference facility called the Canal House on September 17th with an entertaining non-traditional ceremony and night of celebration in the new 5-level facility. Ingraham who dons safety glasses and cracks a ceremonial conch shell to officially open the new center. - I was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada July 10, 1960. This fact alone makes me a natural for my adopted country, July 10th is Bahamian Independence Day! Shortly after graduating from university I packed my bags for The Bahamas. I arrived in 1988 to teach for the Bahamian government. After spending 13 years in the teaching profession, I decided to expand my horizons and jumped into the exciting world of real estate.
